#### General tips
- Focus on how you can make the BEST VIDEOS possible
- "What helps us make the best videos possible" is the only question you should be asking. Not about views, subs, or anything else.
- In 10 years YT creators will have insane power and influencer - you'll be able to build businesses, and do crazy stuff just from a YouTube following
- If you have 0 subs your first 10 videos won't get any views, so stop sitting there thinking and just start uploading
- **MAKE 100 VIDEOS AND IMPROVE SOMETHING EACH TIME**
- Your first 100 will probably suck
- Studying the algorithm = studying psychology. Replace algorithm with audience in your vocab
- It's all knowledge. Once you know how to do it, you can start a new faceless acc and do it again and again
- Once you admit you suck and start learning, then you'll actually start succeeding
- Focus on improving as much as possible
- No such thing as the perfect video
- You get high view counts because people want to watch ALL your videos, not just the one that showed up
#### Copying ideas
- It's okay to take inspiration, just don't exactly copy
- Think about how you can make an idea 100x better
- what can you add?
- how can you edit it better?
- how can you make it more interesting?
- Add your own spin and make it YOURS
#### Tips for small YTers
- It's easier to make 1 video with 5M views than 100 videos with 50k views
- Don't set up an upload schedule - focus on QUALITY not QUANTITY
- Focus on QUALITY - if someone loves the last video you made, they'll watch the next one
#### Title tips
- If someone reads it do they HAVE to click?
- The length of the video has to match the idea of the title
- Title under 50 characters
- The more extreme, the more the click through rate. But you have to deliver in the video. The more extreme you are in the title the more extreme you have to be in the video to deliver
#### Video tips
- Give them something interesting in the title
- Instantly deliver on what you promised in the title
- Then give them EVEN MORE
- This lowers drop off
- The first 1 minute is more important than the rest of the video. Once people are immersed they'll watch the whole thing, don't have to try as hard in the back half of the video
- #1 thing > Retaining as many people at the start as possible.
- Get rid of every dull moment
#### Thumbnail
- It should be simple
- It should convey emotion
- It should be so interesting, that if they don't click it, they wonder for the rest of the day "what was that video about??" "what happens in it??"
#### SIMPLE FORMULA:
1. Give them why they click
2. Tell them why they should watch
3. Stick to the topic
- DON'T DRAG IT OUT
