I just have a few questions and I’ll let you get back to your day …” - “On a scale of 1 to 5, how much would you…” If you’re asking the right questions, they’re things that people find interesting and can be talked about pretty much anywhere anytime. **If it feels like they’re doing you a favour by talking to you, it’s probably too formal**
